"As a Clinical Psychologist, I have utilized problem focused, solution oriented strategies in working with others and am comfortable doing therapy on a 'short term' basis encouraging clients to return as needed over time.

Therapeutic interventions can include offering alternative ways of viewing problematic circumstances, role playing, recommended readings, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), 'open seat work' (Gestalt Therapy), couples counseling, plus work with dreams. A treatment plan will be based on a client's interest in and comfort with these different strategies."
                                                       - Dr. Philip Hyde

Because the relationship or 'fit' between a client and the therapist is so crucial for a positive therapeutic outcome, Dr. Hyde will offer to prospective and first time clients a 20 minute introductory session at “no charge” thus allowing an opportunity for individuals, couples or families to meet him, to see the office and to ask any questions they may have about the therapy process or the way Dr. Hyde works. If by chance there is not a “good fit”, then Dr. Hyde will facilitate an appropriate referral to another clinician.
